Reference grid: every card above is a canvas size you can design straight into — build your PNG at those exact pixel dimensions in Affinity Designer, Photoshop, Kittl, or Canva, and it'll drop into that platform without any surprise cropping.

Fit calculator: already have a design at a different size? Enter its width and height, pick where it's going, and you'll see two options — Fit (the whole design shows, with padding added to fill the frame) and Fill (the frame is filled edge-to-edge, with the design cropped to match). Fit is safer when your design has important content near the edges; Fill looks more intentional when it doesn't.

Why this matters: a design built for Pinterest's tall 2:3 frame gets brutally center-cropped if you reuse it for an Etsy square listing photo — often losing exactly the part of the design that sold the piece. Designing to the right canvas from the start (or checking the crop here first) saves a re-do.
